Belgrade is home to so many cafes that it can be hard to choose between the options. This list is reflective of the author's preferences for non-smoking venues that aren't very loud.

If you want a more comprehensive list of cafes that you can work from, considering checking Laptop Friendly, a website created by Belgrade locals gathering information about cafes around the world.

Sonder

Perhaps the largest and nicest coffeeshop in Belgrade, it has many different seating setups and spaces. Highly recommended to visit.

Rocket Coffee

Overall a great place, they usually have a few pastries available. Be aware that in the afternoon around 15:00 the sun shines through the window, making it harder to see your screen at the window-facing seats, but there are seats that do not face the window.

Kuca Umetnica

Kuca Umetnica is set up more like a coworking space or event space. Only some of the tables are for laptops, but it's usually easy to find a table to work from. There is also a larger communal table if you are working as part of a group.

Chernyi Cooperative Coffee Roasters

Half of Chernyi allows laptops while the other half does not, but it is a very popular place to work because it's quiet and offers good coffee.

Sloj

Across the street from Chernyi, Sloj is a nice bakery with beautiful photogenic pastries. It's not as well set up for working, but if there are seats available, it can be a good place to grab a bite or work with a friend.

Kofilin

Kofilin has many branches throughout Belgrade. Most branches are often not so busy and they serve different types of sirniki. This specific location is centrally located and has more seating than some other locations.

Starbucks near Parliament

Like Kofilin, Starbucks has several branches around the city. Many people are on their laptops at this location, perhaps because it's very central and can be a useful stop if you are on your way to another part of the city.

Starbucks near Saint Sava

The newest option on this list, it has a louder interior vibe than some places (not the best for taking calls), but it has an upstairs seating area with nice views of Saint Sava temple.

Poslastičarnica Šuma

Many vegan baked goods are offered here. Empty tables are almost guaranteed during working hours.

Mi Hleb

It's a small bakery, but there is a large shared table that is good for laptops (if there is space).
