The Serbian social dynamic might be very different from where you have lived before. Serbs are very social people, but they are social with their inner circle. They prioritize family and friends and often only add to their social circle through these existing avenues. This can make it hard to make local friends, but luckily, Belgrade is a large thriving city with many expats. There are multiple meetup events every week, and the best known events are listed here:

Language Cafe: Tuesdays at KC Grad

The gathering is hosted on large outdoor tables when the weather is nice, but it moves indoors during colder months. Instagram link and Facebook link

Polyglot Club Belgrade: Wednesdays at KC Dorcol

Often happens outside of KC Dorcol. Instagram link

Mundo Lingo: Wednesdays at Black George

A newer arrival to the language meetup scene in town, the day of the week has changed recently but at the time of writing it is happening on Wednesdays. Meetup link and Facebook link

BlaBla Language Exchange: Thursdays at Kafe Princ

Not always as focused on the language learning, this event is more relaxed. Meetup link

Honorable mention - Novi Sad Language Exchange: Thursdays at Radio Cafe

This event is not Belgrade, but it's not too far away. Novi Sad has just 1 long lived language exchange event, and it's held at Radio Cafe on Thursdays at 20:30.
